SFSC and Pavilion Skating Club are partnering again this year to host a S.T.A.R.S. combine at Pavilion. S.T.A.R.S. (Standardized Testing of Athleticism to Recognize Skaters) is a new system of off-ice fitness assessment. A full schedule of nation-wide S.T.A.R.S. combines will be published in March and registration will begin at that time. Last year our S.T.A.R.S. combine attracted more than 40 skaters – some from as far as Columbus and Pittsburgh. We hope to grow that number this year and hopefully add an on-ice component to make attending even more appealing. For more info on S.T.A.R.S. visit www.usfsa.org/
